Nature's Toolbox: Biodiversity, Art and Invention

The two projects, The Nature of Cities and Millions of Pieces: Only One Puzzle, will be combined with additional artworks in an exhibition titled “Nature’s Toolbox.” Its goal is to help viewers understand the power and beauty of nature’s genius — the 3.8 billion years of Earth’s “research and development” that comprise life’s operating instructions and the design of our world. Therein lies a deep reservoir of wisdom: blueprints, recipes and strategies for how to design products, buildings, and systems that create conditions conducive to life for all. We plan to open this exhibition in 2011 and travel it to museums globally.
